Peer Review System
China Nonferrous Metallurgy adopts an online submission and review system. All papers submitted to this journal are subject to a strict peer review process, which is conducted in the form of blind review. The details are as follows:
1.Principles of Peer Review
1）The principles of fairness, impartiality, confidentiality and timeliness shall be upheld.
2）Only the academic merits of the submitted manuscripts shall be evaluated; no personal comments or ad hominem attacks shall be made.
3）Respect for different academic viewpoints shall be maintained, and academic misconduct shall be firmly rejected.
2. Responsibilities of Review Experts
1) Complete and submit the review comments on the assigned manuscripts within the specified timeframe to the editorial department. In case of unavoidable delays caused by objective factors, the editorial department shall be notified promptly.
2) Report any identified academic misconduct in the manuscripts truthfully to the editorial department, and refrain from making disrespectful, derogatory or unobjective comments.
3)Decline the review assignment if the expert is unfamiliar with the research field, or if there is a conflict of interest that may impair the impartiality of the evaluation.
4)Maintain strict confidentiality of all review comments and related information. Such materials shall not be used for personal purposes, circulated or discussed with others, nor shall the data, viewpoints or conclusions of the reviewed manuscripts be used or published elsewhere.
3. Content of Peer Review
The peer review experts of this journal shall conduct an objective and impartial evaluation of the submitted manuscripts mainly from the perspectives of innovation, practical applicability, scientific rigor and academic significance, covering the following key aspects:① Whether the content of the manuscript is original and worthy of publication;② Whether the content of the paper is objective and authentic, and whether the experimental data is verifiable;③ Whether the elaboration is objective and impartial, and whether the arguments and supporting evidence are rigorous and sufficient;④ Whether the discussion and conclusions are reasonable;⑤ Whether the citation of references is necessary and appropriate;⑥ Whether the language expression and the use of figures and tables are proper;⑦ Putting forward revision suggestions on errors, structure and other aspects of the manuscript; etc.
4. Other Matters
1) All papers shall be submitted via the online submission system, and the editorial department shall organize a strict double-blind peer review process for them.
2) The average processing time for each paper is 1–2 months, and authors can check the review progress and results through the submission system.
3) Authors are not required to pay any additional review fees; publication fees are only charged for accepted papers.
