In order to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the tailings drainage system, a hydraulic model test was carried out on the drainage system of a second-class tailings reservoir. The hydraulic characteristics of the drainage well and tunnel were tested through different schemes and different working conditions, and the discharge rate, flow pattern, pulsating pressure and aeration concentration were studied. The test results can provide references for the engineering design of the tailings drainage system.
