The grade of ore extracted in mining has an important impact on the cost of downstream smelting and processing. To further improve the bauxite quality in open-pit mining, improve the efficiency of resource utilization and reduce the cost of smelting and processing, this paper conducted an in-depth analysis of the main factors affecting the bauxite ore quality in open-pit mining by taking Xingxian open-pit sedimentary bauxite mine as an example. The methods for improving the quality of ore are put forward from four aspects: technical measures, organizational measures, management measures and economic measures, providing a reference and guidance for bauxite ore quality control in open-pit mining.
