This research simulated the large-scale pillarless continuous mechanized downward layered horizontal cut-and-fill mining process in Jinchuan Nickel 2# Mine and stress evolution analysis of the horizontal pillar during mining was focused. Results show that the stress is decreasing significantly as the horizontal pillar goes thinner in the multi-level mining process. There are both stress-releasing and stress concentration areas nearby the mining area. The result can be a good reference for the stress-releasing mining in deep mine.
