By combining the modified Mathews stability graph and FLAC^3D numeral simulation software, the authors make an optimization study on stope layout and structure parameters in a gold mine, five kinds of feasible optimization scheme are designed according to mining method and morphology of ore body, through this study, rational stope layout and sizes of room stope and pillar stope are determined from five schemes, which ensure the safety under the condition of high extraction efficiency, this study is a good reference to similarly design and productive work.
