Abstract:For the smelting and separating process of rare earth ore, it is still stuck in the traditional manual production and organization, demonstrating relatively backward basic automation and lower level of informationization and intelligence. In consideration of these existing problems, based on the digital intelligence needs and vision, a research has been carried out to explore the possibility of applying advanced industrial internet platform to connect the basic automation system of production and realize the intelligent production control and management, in order to eliminate the barriers for data transmission and form the lifecycle management related to factors of production and data of production process. With the realization of intelligent production control and management system, the level data of storage tank and reaction tank, which are adopted in the separating process of rare earth ore, could be used for early warning and further monitoring. Also the data for materials consumption could be managed during the production. Ultimately, technical support and guarantee could be provided by the system for the further construction of intelligent plant for rare earth smelting and separating.

Abstract:In this paper, by means of multi-physical field simulation, the busbar, cathode structure, lining and superstructure of a discontinued 240kA potline were targeted for upgrading design. These upgrade significantly improved the magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) stability, thermal balance stability and gas collection efficiency of the pots and reduced the cathode voltage drop, which created conditions for long-term stable operation of the pots under low voltage, low energy consumption and higher current density. After the transformation was completed and put back into operation, the operation current of the pot was successfully increased to 260kA, the annual raw aluminum production capacity of this potline was increased by nearly 14000 tons, and the average DC power consumption of liquid aluminum was reduced from 13343kW·h/t-Al before the transformation to 12463kW·h/t-Al.

Abstract:The anode guide rod component is one of the important components in the production of electrolytic aluminum. At present, the anode guide rod components are mostly repaired manually. This method has problems such as high labor intensity, low repair efficiency, and unstable quality, which can lead to detachment, cracking, or reduced lifespan of the anode guide rod components during the production stage. This article introduces a full process automated repair solution for anode guide rod assembly. This plan covers narrow gap full section welding process and equipment, anode steel claw repair technology and equipment based on resistance thermal pressure welding, and automation technology and equipment for the entire process of aluminum guide rod repair. The application of this solution can repair more than 40 sets of components per day, extend the service life by more than half, reduce the labor intensity of operators, and save more than 15kW·h of electricity per ton of aluminum in the electrolytic aluminum industry.

Abstract:In this paper, the working principle and the characterization parameter of aerating performance of the big nozzle sparger are briefly introduced, and the simulation model of the big nozzle sparger is established by using the fluid simulation software based on the actual working conditions. The variation rules of the air injection length, airflow tip diffusion width and the jetting outflow of the big nozzle sparger are studied emphatically under the actual working conditions which are the aeration pressure and immersion depth. It is shown that three performance parameters of big nozzle sparger increase with the increase of the aeration pressure under the same immersion depth, and the effect of the immersion depth on the jetting outflow can not be ignored when the immersion depth reaches the magnitude of the actual immersion depth. Under the same pressure condition, with the increase of the immersion depth of big nozzle sparger, the jetting outflow and airflow tip diffusion width gradually decrease, and the air injection length also gradually decrease. The research of this paper provides important data support for the selection of working parameters of big nozzle sparger in practical application.

Abstract:The remote control and even automatic operation of mining equipment is the core of realizing the intelligent construction of mines. In this paper, based on the rock drilling operation in the production area of the Yanyanshan Iron Mine with the sub-pillar caving method, the existing Simba1354 medium and deep hole drilling jumbo in the mine is remotely modified, and the remote control and automatic loading and unloading of the rock drilling operation are realized. The online acquisition and pre-maintenance management of pole and trolley operation status has improved the automation level of medium and deep hole rock drilling rigs. The application of the remote control system for medium and deep hole rock drilling rigs has effectively reduced front-line operators, improved the working environment for workers, and helped mines achieve intrinsically safe production.

Abstract:In the field of zinc ingot casting, it has become a trend to use automated equipment, especially robot, to replace manual slag removal on the ingot surface. In order to improve the operation quality of the equipment, fluid simulation technology was used to model and simulate the automatic slag removal process of, and the effects of slag removal thickness, immersion depth, running speed, tilt angle and surface roughness on the slag removal effect were investigated. The study shows that the best immersion depth is 10~14mm, running speed is 0.06~0.09m/s, shovel tilt angle is 26°~45°. This study provides a useful reference for the design of shovel structure and working parameters, and enhances the stability of slag picking effect, which reduces metal waste and surface quality failure of the ingot.

Abstract:This paper has introduced three core techniques of intelligent electrolytic nickel discharging and loading unit: fully automatic railcar stepper conveyor, electrolyte nickel pre-separation technique and program-controlled electrolytic nickel automatic hot-cleaning machine. The transshipment of electrolytic nickel at the interval can be realized with a railcar stepper conveyor, which is better than the current conventional scheme at home or abroad. The concept of electrolyte nickel pre-separation has been put forward, an electrolyte nickel pre-separation system based on machine vision has been developed, and the actual use has been introduced. The program-controlled automatic hot-cleaning machine realizes the automatic hot cleaning of electrolytic nickel, so that the quality of cleaning reaches the best level in history.

Abstract:The start-up characteristics, quasi-steady operation characteristics, and the temperature variation regular of pulsating heat pipe heat exchanger when working fluid containing non condensable steam in steam were studied and experimented on. The pulsating heat pipe heat exchanger were designed and calculated using flue gas as the working fluid. Pulsating heat pipe heat exchangers with flue gas as working fluid were design and calculation, based on the calculation of traditional gravity heat pipe heat exchangers and combined with the characteristics of pulsating heat pipes themselves. Experimental data by analysis, it is found that under experimental conditions, the pulsating heat pipe heat exchanger has a fast response and good start-up performance. The design dimensions of pulsating heat pipes are provided by design calculations.

Abstract:Pneumatic conveying is a transportation technology that utilizes the energy of air to continuously transport powder and granular bulk materials, and has wide applications in industries such as chemical, metallurgical, steel, and coal. The pneumatic conveying system generally consists of three basic parts: a feeding device, a conveying pipeline, and an air power source. A copper smelting enterprise utilizes the advantages of the silo pump pneumatic conveying equipment and combines it with the actual production operation situation to transport the quenched flue gas to an ash storage tank 500 meters away using the silo pump pneumatic conveying equipment. The on-site application shows that the packaging efficiency, transportation efficiency, energy conservation, and pollution reduction of the pneumatic conveying equipment using silo pumps are significantly better than those of ton bag packaging products, providing a good reference value for the transportation of dust like materials and has broad promotion value.

Abstract:Aluminum alloys are widely used in aerospace and transportation fields due to their high strength and low weight. In this paper, with aluminum alloy components as the input vector and tensile strength as the target variable, four different machine learning algorithm models, RF, ET, Bagging and Adaboost, are established. The results show that RF model has the best prediction performance, R=0.89, MAE=40.33. The content of Ti plays a positive role in predicting the tensile strength of aluminum alloys. The higher the content of Ti, the greater the tensile strength. The prediction of tensile strength of aluminum alloy with Mg and Cu content is not obvious. The content of Zn element, Ce element and Y element plays a negative role in predicting the tensile strength of aluminum alloy. The element content is great, that the tensile strength value is small. The importance of the characteristics is Ti>Mg>Cu>Zn>Ce>Y.
