    Abstract:

To explore the design and use of hot-rolled coil springs, a mathematical model was established by using Solidworks, and based on the finite element analysis of ANSYS Workbench, it was concluded that: with the same parameters, when the cross-sectional size of the spring increases, the maximum deformation of the spring will have obvious decrease accordingly. However, when the cross-sectional size increases to a certain limit, the maximum deformation of the spring hardly changes. Under the conditions of same parameters, when the cross-sectional size of the spring is increased, the maximum equivalent stress of the spring only decreases with the increase of the diameter of the spring wire within a certain range. When the limit design value is exceeded, the maximum equivalent stress increases accordingly. Through comprehensive analysis, the spring diameter is selected to be 14mm, which is consistent with the actual scenario.
