Under the background of global energy crisis and serious environmental pollution, the clean and efficient power generation technology-direct carbon fuel cell technology, has attracted more and more attentions. China is a big consumer of coal resources, where traditional thermal power generation technology brings about serious environmental pollution and energy waste problems. Therefore, the application of coal fuel to direct carbon fuel cells has become an urgent and critical solution. This paper gives a detailed introduction to the application of different types of coal fuels in direct carbon fuel cells, which provides an important reference for addressing the issue of clean and efficient utilization of coal.
