The programmable logic controller(PLC) features simple and convenient control, high reliability and simplified electrical circuit. In view of defects in the original control, studies are conducted to optimize the conventional relay control method. Control scheme is proposed with PLC as the core and programmed and loaded for application based on process requirements, equipment operation and control requirements. The control system, which mainly consists of electrical elements including the PLC control box, enables flexible configuration of operation cycle according to production requirements. As regards the dust discharge features of ESP for converting operations, SDIC Jincheng Metallurgy Co., Ltd replaces the conventional relay control system with PLC control system. The modified system substantially reduces production labor intensity, decreases power consumption and expands equipment operation cycle.
