Abstract:

The 2219 alloy hot-top casting Φ405mm round ingot feather crystal causes and solutions were studied.The results show control Zr content of 2219 alloy and increase scrap input ratio，increasing Al-5i-1B wire online seeding rate during the casting，avoiding melt overheat and it to stay a long time and adjusting the casting prosess parameters can solve 2219 alloy hot-top casting Φ405mm round ingot feather crystal s problem.
