Based on the case of frame filter press in the dewatering process of copper concentrate in slag separation system of copper smelter, the working principle and performance characteristics of frame filter press are analyzed, and the issues to which attention should be paid in production are summarized. Production practices indicate that the frame filter press has a good filtering effect on the copper concentrate of slag separation system, and the moisture content of filter cake is stable at about 10%, which can meet the requirements of smelting technology.
