This paper introduced the whole life process of medical waste and the problems existing in the relevant personnel consciousness, information investment and supervision system of medical waste management in China, expounded the importance of the whole process information management of medical waste, and introduced the principles, advantages and disadvantages of bar code, two-dimensional code and RFID technology and their application in medical waste management. The application of information technology can realize the informatization, real-time and automation of the whole process of medical waste, and improve the level of traceability supervision.
