This article analyzed the current problems in the development of new energy in China, and introduced the current models of integrating new energy into the electricity market at home and abroad, and provided suggestions for China to accelerate the construction of a new era electricity market system. At present, there are problems in the development of new energy in China, such as insufficient consumption capacity of the power grid, reduced government subsidies, low technological level, and unclear participation models in the electricity market. At present, in order to accelerate the participation of new energy in the electricity market and build a complete new era electricity market system ，it should continuously improve the supporting policies for new energy in the electricity market, enhance the adaptability of the electricity market to renewable energy, enhance the regulatory capacity of the electricity system, optimize quota design of the system, and promote the coordinated development of the green certificate market and the carbon market.
