The technical characteristics and progress of typical nickel refining with carbonyl processes at home and abroad were compared and analyzed, the characteristics of carbonyl process under normal pressure, low pressure, medium pressure and high pressure, as well as the breakthrough of nickel refining technology with carbonyl process under medium pressure in Jinchuan Group were summarized, and the existing problems and improvement direction of nickel refining process with carbonyl process under medium pressure in Jinchuan Group were pointed out. The results showed that the carbonyl process under medium and low pressure is the best choice for nickel refining technology improvement.
