This paper analyzed the problems of serious ash deposition, abnormal arching of combustion surface and abnormal closing of ash discharge door in the boiler exhaust chamber in Fukang smelter, and put forward some measures such as checking the scale type furnace exhaust in different periods, controlling the quality of coal combustion, blocking the leakage points of furnace body, and adopting pneumatic ash discharge method for ash discharge door. After the implementation of the measures, the problems affecting the air supply and air leakage of the boiler, such as serious ash deposition in the lower air bin of the grate, bridging, and slabing, were completely solved, which greatly improved the combustion conditions of the boiler and the combustion efficiency of the boiler.
